Artur Sousa is a founder and product architect who builds operational software and AI-driven platforms. He founded Adopets — a global pet adoption platform backed by Techstars, scaled across shelters and adopters worldwide and acquired in 2022. Post-acquisition, he served as Chief Customer Officer and Board Member at Pet Loyalty Inc. through integration. He went on to found GymBud, an operating system for independent fitness coaches scaling in Brazil and Latin America, and My Orbit, a privacy-first AI engagement platform for recovery, mental health, and veteran communities. He leads Doers Innovation Group, partnering with public companies and Seed-to-Series-A startups to ship mission-critical software. Northeastern Founder in Residence (2024–2025). Artur Sousa is a tech entrepreneur, founder, and product architect with a decade-plus track record of founding, scaling, and rebuilding companies at the intersection of AI, product, and operational software. He has led ventures across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, navigating everything from zero-to-one chaos to hypergrowth, mergers, and acquisitions. He founded Adopets — a global pet adoption platform backed by Techstars (2017) that modernized animal welfare and connected millions with shelters worldwide before being acquired in 2022. Post-acquisition, he joined Pet Loyalty Inc. as Chief Customer Officer and Board Member to stabilize and rebuild during integration. He went on to found GymBud, an operating system for independent fitness coaches scaling in Brazil and Latin America, and My Orbit, a privacy-first AI engagement platform for recovery, mental health, and veteran communities. He currently leads Doers Innovation Group, partnering with public companies and Seed-to-Series-A startups to ship mission-critical software with a strong focus on AI-driven systems and internal platforms. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade at Morhan, a national Brazilian nonprofit, eventually leading national operations, and served as the youngest advisor to Brazil's CONANDA on children's and adolescents' rights.
